Shannon Ebner - A Public Character

Published on the occasion of an exhibition by Shannon Ebner at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami, which centres around an eponymous new video work commissioned by the museum. In her work the Los Angeles-based artist critically explores the role of images, often through historical interpretation and with a collaborative practice that includes sculpture, poetry, performance, and video. Certain aspects, especially seen in the ongoing series ‘Black Box Collision A’, represent her efforts to reflect upon our experience of language today at the intersection of landscape and architecture. Also included are the works ‘A Hudson Yard’, ‘A Self’, and ‘A Singular’, as well as insightful essays. Co published by ICA (Miami) and Roma Publications (Amsterdam).

216 pages, 20 x 30 cm, paperback, ICA (Miami) and Roma Publications (Amsterdam).
